2024 Fruit and Safe Farm Produce Fair underway in Hanoi

The fair will go on from November 22 to 27 at the Thanh Tri Cultural, Information and Sports Center.

The Fruit and Safe Farm Produce Fair in 2024 features 130 booths with products from 80 companies and cooperatives from Hanoi and 18 provinces, including Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Son La, Lao Cai, Ha Giang, and Quang Ninh.

Speaking at the event's opening ceremony on November 22, Nguyen The Hiep, Deputy Director of Hanoi's Department of Industry and Trade, highlighted the city's efforts to bring fruits and agricultural products from other provinces to the Hanoi market.

In recent months, Hanoi has organized more than 70 trade activities, fairs and promotion weeks to help enterprises from the southern city of Cantho and provinces of Lam Dong and Tra Vinh and other provinces and cities establish direct sales links.

Units in Hanoi have helped develop environmentally friendly packaging and labeling to help products enter modern distribution channels and meet consumer demands in Hanoi and beyond. These trade activities also provide valuable market development experience for provincial companies. One such effort is the fair, which aims to help local businesses and cooperatives promote themselves and find buyers, giving Hanoi residents access to quality products at affordable prices.

The Department of Industry and Trade expects that it will help many businesses and cooperatives in Hanoi to attract more customers and distribution channels, contribute to a balanced supply-demand dynamic, and stimulate consumer spending as the year-end and Tet celebrations approach.

Consumers in the city are encouraged to prioritize safe fruit and agricultural products, thereby encouraging sustainable economic growth and supporting local production and business activities.
