Hanoi’s authority requires the people's committees of districts and towns to enhance treatment of water pollution at lakes to improve the quality of lake water and the living environment for people in the city, the governmental portal reported.

In order to enhance treatment of water pollution in the city, the Hanoi Department of Construction requested the people's committees of districts to propose a list of lakes to be treated as a basis for the department to find solutions.
They are also asked to give an assessment on the treatment work carried out by the Hanoi Sewerage and Drainage Company since 2016.
Besides, the Hanoi Department of Construction also asked related agencies to strengthen the communication on the benefits and effectiveness of the city’s water pollution treatment.
