Kicked off in 2016, the VND3,000 billion (US$129 million) project is crucial to Hanoi because it leads to Noi Bai International Airport, links with major industrial zones and connects northern provinces to bus stations including My Dinh and Giap Bat.
At the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said that despite many challenges in site clearance and construction conditions, the project has completed the main items, ensured quality and eligibility for traffic use.
The ring road has important implications for the capital’s transport and contributes positively to reducing traffic congestion in the city, Chung emphasized.
