However, the department warns local redisents to keep vigilance of a potential breakout of an epidemic and take measures to prevent the disease.

From July 16 to July 22, the whole city recorded 13 dengue fever cases. However, summer weather is a favorable condition for mosquitoes to spread dengue fever, thus the districts and towns should continue to take measures to kill larvae and actively prevent dengue fever, the department said.

The city's health authority informed that it recorded 13 cases of measles, 44 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, three cases of pertussis, but no deaths from any of these diseases.

In addition to preventing dengue fever, the Hanoi Department of Health requires units to continue intensifying the vaccination to actively prevent diseases such as measles, Japanese encephalitis, and pertussis.

The Hanoi Center for Preventive Medicine will continue to carry out the body temperature measurement of passengers entering Noi Bai International Airport to actively control dangerous epidemics that threaten to infect, especially diseases caused by Ebola virus.
