Hanoi’s police have started implementing security plans for the second meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un on February 27-28, VnExpress reported.

Accordingly, the city’s police force is required to (i) tighten security before the event in order to detect risks to the meeting and national security, (ii) ensure traffic safety, fire control, social order, and hygiene, (iii) take 24-hour patrol at important places namely Noi Bai International Airport, railway and bus stations, cultural works and monuments, public places, national grid, and transformer stations.
Specifically, Khuong orders criminal police to take patrol from 23:00 pm to 5:00 am through 96 patrol teams while traffic police are asked to ensure road safety.
Two weeks ahead of the summit, luxury hotels in Hanoi have been fully booked. Several delegations of international reporters have come to the city. The number of reporters are predicted to reach several thousands.
The first meeting in Singapore last May drew the participation of more than 3,000 reporters all over the world.
