Vietnam-Russia judicial cooperation helps enhance bilateral ties

Minister of Justice Ha Hung Cuong held talks with his Russian counterpart A.V Konovalov in Hanoi on November 20, during which they agreed that the two ministries’ cooperation will contribute to consolidating the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership.

The ministers affirmed that the two countries’ relation in the law and judicial fields has experienced strong development.

They briefed each other on their respective countries’ legal and judicial reforms. 
They also exchanged views on the building of several laws of Vietnam, including the revised Penal Code and the revised Criminal Procedure Code, as well as the training of Vietnamese judicial officers through organising courses biannually. 
On the same day, the Russian minister was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, during which Minister Konovalov pledged that his country’s judicial sector will actively contribute to developing the bilateral relations. 
Minister Konovalov is on a working visit to Vietnam from November 19-21.
