The center aims to improve businesses’ technology and innovation to increase labor productivity and competitiveness for the country’s economy.
The NIC is expected to attract and channel technological firms’ investment in the priority fields, providing fully equipped working space for research and investigation.
Besides, the center is expected to connect and attract talents at home and abroad, bridge entrepreneurs and start-up businesses with investment funds and help large domestic and foreign enterprises to access the market.
The NIC will be built on an area of 23 hectares at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park on the outskirts of Hanoi. Investment capital for the center will be mobilized from domestic and foreign enterprises.
The center’s main functional areas include an integrated service center, office and work space for entrepreneurs and start-up businesses. There will be also a laboratory, a prototype factory, a product display area and an event space.
With five priority fields of smart factory, digital content, network security, smart city and environmental technology, the NIC is expected to become the nucleus for promoting Vietnam’s economic development in the long term and praised as a highlight in the strategy to implement the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in Vietnam.
