Speaking at the meeting, PM Phuc reiterated the Government's determination to strictly punish environmental violations.
The PM underlined the point that relevant agencies will oversee the Hung Nghiep Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Company's operations to prevent it from causing any of environmental incidents.
The facility will be closed if it commits the similar mistake again. The Government will clarify the responsibility of and strictly punish organisations and individuals involved in the incident, he added.
PM Phuc also clarified some other issues mentioned by voters, including the concept “the Government designing and spurring growth”.
Regarding the new-style rural area building programme, the Government leader said the Government gives top priority to the programme and provides  possible resources for it.
On voters’ proposal on upgrading the city’s transport infrastructure, particularly its railway, Phuc said this conforms with the target of spurring the city’s socio-economic development and enhancing connectivity between the city and other localities.
PM Phuc shared voters’ worries about food safety and hygiene, saying the Government will take heed to combating unsafe and poor quality food by intensifying inspections and strictly punishing any violations.
He also asked the locality's forces to continue increasing vigilance to protect the national sea and islands that are a sacred and integral territorial part of the nation.
During the meeting, voters voiced their support for the Prime Minister’s determination to build a government which creates favorable conditions for better lives, stays incorruptible, and serves the people.
The PM suggested the central government should provide momentum for development and act aggressively for the people.
It’s very important that local administrations and the whole political system should thoroughly acquire this spirit and act to remove barriers so that the people and business can develop production and contribute to the country, Phuc noted.
The government should be incorruptible, dedicated, and transparent, and administrations at all levels should serve the people better, he added.
PM Phuc put out measures to accelerate administrative reform and reduce costs for enterprises, particularly small and medium-sized ones.
