Vietnamese Youtube troublemaker arrested for legal infringements

Kha is known for his obscene videos which catch nearly two million subscribers.

Ngo Ba Kha, aka Kha banh, who is notorious online for his disturbing video clips, was arrested on April 1 on allegations of using drug, organizing gambles, and usury activities.

The police in the northern province of Bac Ninh arrested three people for gambling and organizing gambles accusations and will arrest some others for involving in Kha’s unlawful lottery operations.   
 
On the same day, the police searched his home for further investigations. 
 
Kha admitted that he used addictive substances and he was positive to forbidden narcotics after some tests.  
 
Kha is known for pseudonym “Kha BanH” (pretty Kha) and posting a series of obscene videos on Youtube with nearly two million subscribers. 
 
Local media reported that Kha earns roughly VND400 million (US$17,000) from Google per month from posting such videos online. 
 
On March 26, Bac Ninh police summoned him for a case in which he burned a motorbike and posted the video on Youtube. 
 
On March 21, the local police fined him an amount of VND5.5 million (US$239) for stopping his car and together with his friends forming a horizontal line on Hanoi-Haiphong expressway. The police suspended his driving license for two months. 
 
The arrest of Kha and other involvers doesn’t surprise the public as according to Director of Bac Ninh’s Police Nguyen Van Long, Kha is a drug addict, pleaded guilty of causing harm in 2014 and social disorder in 2016. He was forcibly brought to re-education camp in 2011 at the age below 18. He has three criminal records so far, local media reported. 

The police officer exclaimed that the society should not let children hail a rogue like Kha.

At a regular government meeting on April 2, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc showed his concern over the influence of some gangsters like Kha banh on the youth and asked government authorities to deal with the situation.
