In recent times, weird behaviors in public places have caused people’s indignation, according to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
The Hanoi government has instructed its departments to take measures to prevent offensive behaviors in the public spaces after a series of recent incidents that have tainted the city's image on social media, local media reported.
Specifically, on July 1, under the request of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, the city’s Department of Transport will ask drivers to get trained on skills to deal with pickpocketing and weird behaviors including sexual harassment on buses.
The Department of Culture and Sports encouraged businesses to display the Code of Conduct on passenger cars, buses and bus stops to raise people's awareness and warn violators.
The management boards of apartment buildings are required to install camera surveillance systems, stick paper notes with codes of conduct in public places such as elevators, corridors, halls, playgrounds, community houses, among others.
Service personnel at apartment buildings must be trained on proper behavior when performing their duties and skills in handling possible infractions.
In recent times, weird behaviors in public places have caused people’s indignation, according to the municipal Department of Culture and Sports.
"Although these cases are not widely seen, they have badly affected the reputation of Hanoi people and angered public opinion," the department said.
