The captain of Vietnamese team is Joshua Haydn Stickland, 31, from the UK. All of the crew members wear uniforms tagged with Ha Long city’s logo.
Quang Ninh province committed to seek the best cooperation with the race’s organization to maximize their support to the “Ha Long Bay – Vietnam” team.
Each crew member of the Vietnamese team is considered a tourism ambassador, who may help promote the images of Quang Ninh province and Vietnam as safe, friendly and hospitable destination with enthralling landscapes, traditional culture, and the desire to cooperate with other countries for the development of the global economy.
It is projected that “Ha Long Bay- Vietnam” crew would join the upcoming seasons of the race, which will feature Ha Long Bay as one of its destinations.
The Clipper Round The World Yacht Race, which has been a prestigious and traditional regatta for 20 years, is owned and operated by the UK’s Clipper Ventures. The race gathers a number of large enterprises from the UK, world celebrities, tourism experts, social activists, among others.
This annual race usually lasts 12 months, where the yacht crews sail across some famous cities around the world.
