More than 100 domestic and foreign travel agents are expected to attend the first ever MICE (business) tourism expo set for June 24-26 at the at the Tien Son Sports Centre in central Danang city, officials have announced.
Host, Danang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, says the city is aiming to sell the travel industry on the idea of having their meetings, conferences, incentive trips and exhibitions organized in Danang.
In Danang, they say there is a great opportunity to combine business events with other outdoor activities programs such as a visit to the beach, theme park, water parks, great golfing resorts along with sightseeing at a vast array of historical and cultural sites.
At the expo, the Department plans to directly convey to travel agents attending all of the specifics needed to assure them they are making the right choice selecting the city as a venue for organizing a business or sporting event.
