Hoi An to host final round of World Miss Tourism Ambassador competition
The final round of World Miss Tourism Ambassador competition features the participation of more than 50 beauties from countries and territories around the world.
Hoi An, a tourist spot in Quang Nam province, will host the final round of the 2018 World Miss Tourism Ambassador from August 27 to 31, the organizing board has said at a press conference.
The contestants will arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on August 24 to join photo shooting activities before heading to Hoi An where they will officially enter the final round of the contest.
Phan Thi Mo, 28, from Tien Giang province, will represent Vietnam at the competition. She recently introduced her tourism video on promoting Vietnam’s land and people, which is one of the major tasks of the pageant.
Focusing on this year’s tagline “Tourism and Ecology”, Mo featured the natural beauty of her hometown of Tien Giang, as well as the daily lives of the people there, the floating market, the fruit-laden orchards, and the art of Don Ca Tai Tu folk singing in the video.
She hopes that her video will promote the tranquillity of her hometown to international friends, thus encouraging them to explore the beautiful landscapes in Vietnam.
In 2017, Vietnamese representative Lien Phuong won the first runner-up place at the World Miss Tourism Ambassador, which took place in Manila, the Philippines.
A recently-established pageant contest based in the US, the World Miss Tourism Ambassador is not only a beauty arena, but also a channel for promoting tourism, culture and tourism services of any country that sends a delegate to this contest.
Winner of the pageant will be the face of World Miss Tourism Ambassador and will embark in exciting journey full of glamour, mission and responsibility. She will travel the world and promote the cause of the organization.
