The event aiming to promote the Mediterranean culinary art in general, and Italian cuisine in particular, to Vietnamese people.
A program with theme “True Italian Taste – Mediterranean Diet” will be held on April 5 at Casa Italia No.18, Le Phung Hieu street, Hoan Kiem district, downtown Hanoi, and is expected to welcome around 300 - 400 visitors.
The information was released by the President of Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) Michele D’Ercole at a press conference on March 28. The event is organized by ICHAM, the association of the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (Assocamerestero) in coordination with the Italian embassy in Vietnam.
Vietnamese visitors will have also an opportunity to enjoy the most original Italian dishes selected from leading Italian restaurants in Vietnam as well as exchange with experts on the dining style of Mediterranean people. Notably, famous Italian chef, Piero Palmigiani will participate in the activities. In addition, other special products from Italy will be promoted at the program.
According to the ICHAM’s Chairman Michele D’Ercole, the program is as part of the “True Italian Taste - Mediterranean Diet” project which was launched by the Italian government and has been implemented in over 40 countries worldwide. The event is aimed to promote the Mediterranean culinary culture in general, and Italian cuisine in particular, to Vietnamese people.
Miss Vietnam Ngoc Han will be the Brand Ambassador of “True Italian Taste - Mediterranean Diet” in Vietnam. During the program, visitors will be immersed in various unique cultural and culinary activities, particularly an exhibition featuring the development of Italian cuisine over five important periods.
