A fashion parade will be held at Phung Hung street mural space, titled “Spring - Summer 2019” by Hanoi fashion designers.
A wide range of events will be held in Hanoi Old Quarter to celebrate the 44th anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - 2019) and May Day, said the Management Board of Hanoi’s Old Quarter on April 19, Cong Thuong newspaper reported.
Accordingly, visitors will have a chance to enjoy traditional crafts at an exhibition titled “Vietnam’s do paper, now and past”, at Kim Ngan communal house in Hang Bac street, Hoan Kiem district from April 24 to 25. On May 4, visitors who love traditional handicraft will be able to learn more about the history of the do paper production craft as well as do paper production stages at a seminar on this craft.
In addition, a cultural program under the theme “Quintessence of Vietnamese crafts” will be held around the Phung Hung street mural space from April 27 to May 1. The event aims to honor artisans and craftsmen who have contributed to preserving heritage values. Products from some of Hanoi’s outstanding craft villages, such as Van Phuc silk, Bat Trang pottery, Ha Thai lacquer, Chuong conical hats and Phu Vinh bamboo and rattan, will be on display during the event.
Also Phung Hung street will be the stage for a fashion parade where the “Spring - Summer 2019” collection will be displayed by Hanoi's fashion designers, in addition to traditional musical programs in the evenings between April 27 and May 1.
A painting exhibition with theme “War and peace” by Nguyen Thai Bao will be held at the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center from April 28 to May 9. The event will showcase paintings and propaganda canvas on the historical events of the nation, Vietnamese soldiers as well as Vietnam’s land and people in peace time.
