Vietnam: Asia's safest travel destination for 2024

The travel news site highlighted that Vietnam has proven remarkably stable and safe for tourists.

Vietnam has been ranked as the safest country to visit in Asia for 2024, according to Travel Off Path, a US-based travel news source.

The article emphasized that Vietnam has demonstrated exceptional stability and safety for tourists.
In the current global climate, where conflicts erupt in various destinations and security diminishes, safety is a primary concern for American travelers.

And Vietnam stands out as a peaceful destination, ranking first in Asia and seventh in the world as the most peaceful country according to the latest Global Law and Order Index.

With unnecessary anti-pandemic restrictions and strict social measures left behind, it is expected that 2024 will mark the full comeback of tourism in Asia.

Vietnam is the highest ranked country in Asia, scoring an enviable 92 out of 100 in the top 10, which is dominated by European countries, according to Gallup's recently released Global Law and Order Ranking in late 2023.

Vietnam offers a unique experience for slow travelers and backpackers seeking to connect with nature and immerse themselves in a culture that is vastly different from their own, particularly for those coming from the Northern Hemisphere.

Travel Off Path recommends exploring the charming streets of Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its historic temples and French colonial architecture.

In addition, neighboring Hue, with its magnificent moated citadel and Danang's sandy beaches and forest reserves, is a must-visit destination. The golden sand dunes and tranquil coastal towns along the laid-back Mui Ne section of the coast should not be missed either.

"From vibrant city breaks in Ho Chi Minh City, the bustling coastal port of Nha Trang or Hanoi, to nature escapes in Ninh Binh, famous for its rice fields and monumental geological formations, you can truly never exhaust your 'to do' list while exploring the country," says Travel Off Path.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) has set a target to welcome 17-18 million international tourists by 2024. The expected revenue from tourism in the country would reach VND840 trillion (US$34.6 billion), 1.25 times the total revenue in 2023 and 1.2 times the figure in 2019.
