Due to the outbreak of Covid-19, few Vietnamese companies are able to join the expo, Ta Duc Minh, Vietnamese Trade Counselor in Japan, said. The Vietnam Trade Office in Japan has supported Vietnamese businesses to introduce their products to visitors, thereby contributing to strengthening the Vietnam-Japan business connection and promoting trade between the two countries.
Minh Quang Industry and Trading Co., Ltd, whose products have been present in Japan, Thailand, Brazil and Indonesia, hoped to find new partners through the event, according to Le Minh Giang, General Director of the company.
According to Japan Customs, Vietnam exported supporting industrial products worth US$1.1 billion to Japan in 2020.
Under the Vietnam’s Industrialization Strategy within Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Framework with Vision to 2030, among six priority sectors, there are three related to supporting industries, including electronics, agricultural machinery, production of auto and auto spare parts, which would become key fields of Vietnam’s economy with high-added value and international competitiveness.
